Совсем недавно наша гимназия снова стала площадкой проведения международного экзамена. У учеников появилась возможность не только проверить свои знания английского языка, но и повысить его уровень. Экзамен принимал Keith M Watts – он уже более 18 лет руководит международными экзаменами по всей России, давая людям возможность заговорить на языке, как носитель. Во время проведения экзамена нам удалось поговорить с гостем и узнать, справляются ли ребята с заданиями.

2. Could our pupils do and show their best in the exam?

- Absolutely! The whole basis of the exams is designed to bring out the very best in the student. In the writing exam, they have opportunities to use dictionaries, in the spoken exam I do not mark, so my job is very much to encourage the students.

3. You are not for the first time here. Do you think something has changed in the exam?

- It is not my first time here. I think I first came here in 2005-2006. Has something changed in the exam? I would say the English language develops, but as far as standards, I concerned, they have been maintained throughout many, many years. Therefore, I do not think anything has greatly changed, to be honest. Except, possibly, your students are getting in them better.
